What is hypnotherapy?

Hypnosis is a powerful tool that taps into the depths of the mind to induce a state of heightened relaxation and focused concentration. It can be utilized for a wide range of purposes, from managing stress and overcoming fears to enhancing performance and breaking undesirable habits. It can address various areas of life, including physical well-being, emotional healing, and personal development.

During a hypnotherapy session, we begin by discussing your goals and what you’d like to focus on. Then I’ll ask you to close your eyes as I use relaxation techniques, focused attention, and positive suggestions to guide you into a meditative state where the conscious mind becomes relaxed and the subconscious mind becomes more accessible.

Hypnosis allows direct access to the subconscious mind. This is where deeper beliefs, emotions, and patterns reside, making it a potent platform for transformation.

Contrary to common misconceptions, hypnosis is not about being in a deep sleep or losing control. In fact, you remain fully aware and in control throughout the process, able to accept or reject any suggestions I offer, and you will be in communication with me throughout the entirety of the session.

Rather than simply discussing the behaviors or emotions that you wish to change, we will use the subconscious mind to direct us where the issue began and then reprocess that memory together. This helps you make immediate and lasting changes.

With online sessions via Zoom, all you have to do is find a comfortable spot with minimal distractions and you’re ready to get started!

What is EFT/Tapping?

EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) or “Tapping” involves tapping with fingertips on acupressure points on the hands, face, and body while giving focused attention to uncomfortable thoughts and feelings. People often report feeling lighter, calmer, and able to breathe more easily after using this technique.

I use EFT within most hypnotherapy sessions to allow negative emotions and feelings to be processed and released from the body effectively. Most of my clients really find this helpful and relaxing.
